not really for youth
Review by
Kathy
I was disappointed that this supposed youth edition still quotes from the King James Version, and still has the old language and big words of the original version. The only difference I can see is that scattered throughout are little devotional thoughts to help the young people think about the reading. The devotional thoughts are good, but as a teacher, I was hoping for something that would be easier for my earliteen students to understand. The book itself is obviously a classic, but I would only recommend this version for youth that are high achievers or are accustomed to reading older literature.
