The book also comes with a study guide

The book also comes with a study guide which helps to think deeper after reading the material. This process helps to engage into deeper more well thought questions and answers. I put this study on a similar level as experiencing God by Henry blackby. I felt HIS presence while experiencing these books and discussions.

Good commentary on Hebrews
Review by
I got this book to use for a Bible study on Hebrews with some of my neighbors. We had just finished studying the sanctuary and moved on to Hebrews. This book is a commentary on Hebrews. However, the way it is organized is that it is broken into short chapters so that it can be used as a devotional book. Each chapter covered a few verses of Scripture and commented on it. That I liked. It makes it a bit more readable for the average Joe. Also, it comes with a free downloadable study guide for more in-depth study, which I started to use, but because of time constraints, I just used the book alone.

You can tell that the author, George R. Knight, has studied a lot about the book of Hebrews and its background and applications. He brought out new points that I hadn't thought of before about Hebrews. Also, it was good to understand that this book was written to the first generation of Christians that didn't know Jesus directly, but were converts based on the apostles' preaching. They were living at a time when the temple still stood and were tempted to go back to the symbols and abandon the faith when persecution ramped up. That is why the apostle wrote this letter to the Hebrews to encourage their faith in Jesus and warned them of the dangers of going back to the old system, which was now obsolete.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a book on Hebrews that has context and a little more depth.
