Description / The Battle Is the Lord's
Spiritual strategies for victory in your daily struggles
When we think about "enduring to the end," we’re focused on the "Time of Trouble." But our greatest challenge may be the "enemy within." Fear, worry, stress, anxiety—these are just a few of the "times of trouble" that we face on a daily basis. But these everyday problems may lead many of us to give up long before the last days.
In this book, Jim Gilley offers more than just quotes and encouragement. In practical, bite-sized prescriptions, he suggests five steps to overcoming unhealthy fear; four ways to deal with anxiety; three tablets that will help you find a strategy for stress, and much more.

This book surprised me in many ways and I found it to be quite practical. It was encouraging, refreshing and empowering. It started off a little slow, but then it got really interesting. Some chapters were a little disappointing because they weren’t what I was expecting. For example the chapter on procrastination turned out to be on how to procrastinate rather than how to deal with procrastination. But this showed that it is sometimes wise to wait before making decisions. So I got over it. What bothered me the most was the editing errors that I found. There were some places where the spelling was incorrect, which I always find distracting. And there were places where the Bible verse was not where it was supposed to be when I tried to look it up in the Bible. That was unpardonable for Pacific Press who has been around for so long and should know better.
