Description / Yes, I Remember Ellen White DVD

Filmed in the 1970s, Yes, I Remember Ellen White gives a human-interest glimpse of the life of Ellen White by four individuals who knew her personally.

The DVD includes conversations between two of Ellen White’s grandchildren, Arthur White and Grace Jacques. The two share stories while walking together at Elmshaven, Mrs. White’s last home. And who wouldn’t be captivated by the recollections of H.M.S. Richards Sr., filmed in his study as he talks in that easy, conversational manner that marked him as one of the most prominent radio evangelists in America? And don’t forget the memories of Ernest Lloyd, the longtime editor of Our Little Friend.

A Rare Find
Review by
Too bad the producer didn't make this film twenty years earlier. But the fact that they found these people who actually KNEW Ellen White, makes "Yes, I Remember Ellen White" a treasure to anyone who values her role in the theology and administration of the Seventh-day Adventist church. This is a rare find.

Transports you to the places and people of Mrs. White's time

It was so moving to feel, while watching this, that I was actually there on the grounds and in the home of this woman who was so far ahead of her time. The setting, the people who knew her, the places she spent time contemplating the sunrises to come and writing enlightened and inspiring words. Ahead of her time. Excellent film work. And it makes me yearn to have the same sorts of conversations with my great grandparents who knew her well.

The person Ellen is revealed.

I was captured by the personal nature of this video about Ellen White. Her personal story is so much more than her writing, but her personal story made her writing so much more important to me. Also -- the people on the film who remember her and are interviewed are interesting also. I recommend this video for anyone wondering about the authenticity of Ellen White and her inspiration.

Only rarely do we find thoughtful excellence in Adventist media content. This is one of those rare events.

This film takes us behind the hype, to peek into the life and values of an amazing woman; as she was known to her friends and family.

"Yes, I Remember Ellen White" is a classic piece of Adventist history and a key to understanding the church's roots.

You will not want the documentary to end!
