What will you do in Paradise? Just think of the opportunities that you will have! The joys of the new earth will rival that of Eden.

Description / The Other Side of Orion

What will you do in Paradise? Just think of the opportunities that you will have! The joys of the new earth will rival that of Eden.

The author has given careful attention to both the Scriptures and the writings of Ellen G. White regarding the new heaven and the new earth.  This book genuinely inspires us to want to rekindle our desire to spend eternity, in heaven, with Him.  Suitable for youth and young adult groups as well as small group Bible studies.

An inspiring book that stokes up your heart for heaven
Review by
I just finished reading this book. It made my heart full. We often think we've got heaven figured out; or the opposite is true--we have so many unanswered questions about heaven. But the cool thing about this book is that the author takes you through different aspects of heaven such as, who will be there and why, what will it be like, what it won't be like, and the difference between heaven and then New Jerusalem.

There is a section comparing what various religious beliefs there are about an afterlife (or lack of afterlife). And there is a pretty good synopsis of how heaven fits into the grand scheme of things as related to the Great Controversy. The author includes scriptural references for when his statements are based on scripture. He refers to some aspects of heaven commented on by Ellen White. And, where there aren't clear answers from Scripture or prophecy, he says so. He also includes a bit of his own personal imaginings of what heaven could possibly be like.

This book was a good read. It was only 140 pages: fourteen chapters with each chapter only about 8-10 pages long on average, plus a page of questions that could be used for a discussion or further study. I read this book as a daily devotional for a couple of weeks. I would recommend it to others who are looking for a book on heaven or who want to be re-energized about faith in God.
