Tarsee Li was born in Brazil to Chinese immigrants. In his teens, he accepted Jesus and became an Adventist in New York City. He is married to Alida, and together they have one daughter, Christen. He currently works as a Professor of Old Testament and Hebrew Linguistics at Oakwood University. His research interests and publications focus on Hebrew, Aramaic, and Northwest Semitics.
